Welcome to Andrew Townley Electrical, who have moved their website hosting to BY Design and have commissioned a brand new website to be built.

Business owner Andrew reached out to BY Design following a recommendation from T Jackson Plumbing & Heating. He wanted to make a fresh start online for his business and liked the recent new website we created for them.

The brief for the new design is to create a friendly, simple to navigate website, which covers all aspects of the different electrical services he offers. It also needs to communicate the size of the current team, and the ability to complete large commercial work as well as domestic services.

Looking forward to working with Andrew and the team on this one.

Ben has built us a brand new website taking our values, message and branding and has created a clean professional yet engaging website which looks fantastic. Ben had ideas from his expertise on how we can improve the format and design. He is now building us a portal for our customers within the website to keep it all together through Wordpress and elemental software which is really easy to use for when we upload new documents and blog posts. The service has been excellent with Ben giving us regular updates and it was seamless in the transition with the old website and domain change, which is a worry off our plate! Thank you - really appreciate the time spent on the project!

Ben has been exceptionally helpful, patient and understanding in our quest to obtain a new, fit for purpose web site. Once it was launched he gave us a practical session to explain how to edit and manage the site. This was in addition to a video we can keep for future reference and for others who may want to edit in future. We found his help invaluable. We’re very happy with our new website and the service.

Exceptional Website Transformation by By Design: Working as a consultant for Brooklands Guest House in Penrith, I was tasked with elevating this successful business through a comprehensive digital refresh. The centrepiece of this transformation was a complete website redevelopment and professional photography update. We engaged Dave Wilson Weddings from Cumbria for photography and By Design from Heysham, Lancashire, for website development. From initial concept through to final delivery, By Design demonstrated outstanding professionalism throughout the entire process. The project timeline was impressively managed, running from late 2025 through to early January 2026. By Design worked collaboratively with us through every phase: design consultation, development, review, and final snagging. Their attention to detail and responsiveness to feedback was exemplary. What particularly stood out was their patience and conscientious approach—they took the time to understand our vision and translated it into a website that perfectly represents Brooklands Guest House's brand and values. We're so impressed that we're considering transferring our ongoing hosting and maintenance to By Design as existing contracts expire. Both Dave Wilson Weddings and By Design delivered exceptional results, but By Design's combination of technical expertise, creative insight, and genuine commitment to client satisfaction deserves the highest recommendation.

Our experience of working with Ben has been very positive throughout and, most recently, he did an amazing job in redesigning our holiday let website, taking into account our own ideas and needs and at the same time developing those ideas into an attractive and usable product. He is knowledgeable and creative and was able to guide us through the whole process in a patient, calm and professional manner. The website was produced in good time and we are extremely satisfied with what he has produced for us. We will certainly recommend him to others.

I would not hesitate to recommend BY Design. We moved our hosting and maintenance across to BY Design, and instantly saw improvements in site speed. Ben keeps things simple and over communicates meaning you know exactly where you are at in every stage of the process.

FANTASTIC!!! Ben was great to work with, after being let down by another website developer and having waited nearly 12 months to be told he was no longer doing websites, we found Ben through a recommendation. Ben was great, very easy to work with, prompt on setting meetings and understanding what we needed and the website was ready for our review within two weeks! Bens attention to detail and wording was brilliant and after another meeting to discuss slight changes we are ready to launch!! Highly recommended and we will be using Ben again for any additional alterations in the future.

Set up a lovely looking website efficiently at a more than fair price, also easy to reach and helpful in assisting with management of the site going forward.

I felt invisible online before I met Ben! I am so grateful to have been recommended to contact him. Ben is not only incredibly professional and efficient but he makes you feel so valued as a client. He very quickly updated, secured and worked all the other behind-the-scenes magic involved in making a website work well. Now that my website is in safe hands I feel excited for the future as my business moves forward.

Highly recommended. Not only did Ben sort the issue, easily with no drama, it was within the time agreed and with assurance of being able to achieve a positive resolution. So impressed i'll be changing my websites over for hosting as completely left in the dark by current provider. Knowing that Ben has the expertise to advise and deliver gives me such peace of mind - thanks Ben, glad to have been recommended to you
