The company wanted to move their WordPress website from one domain to another, making sure not to lose any traffic to existing page links during or after the move.

Normally, this could be done by making the existing domain name into the alias of the new one, but in this case, the website existed on a subdomain (argyllruane.imeche.org) and was moving to a primary domain, argyllruane.com.

The website consisted of 677 pages, categories, tags and posts, so a redirect map had to be created for each unique link prior to the move.

Separate to this, a previous piece of work relating to fifendt.imeche.org had to also be updated to prevent double redirects occurring for links from Fife to Argyll.

This involved a further 117 redirects in a second map.

An interesting and challenging project. Great to work with Amy on this one.
