Previously operating as Memorial Hall Morecambe (memorialhallmorecambe.co.uk), the team got in touch to say that are underdoing some changes in relation to the way they operate, and as such, needed a new domain name to reflect their new name.

The work involved:

1. Migrating the hosting to the new domain name.
2. Creating the alias of the existing domain name to ensure no traffic is lost.
3. Updating all internal URLs to ensure they use the new domain.
4. Reconnecting the booking system plugin which uses domain-based authentication.
5. Adjusting the Google Calendar API so that it accepts requests from the new domain. This ensures that all website bookings are copied into their Google Calendar, which all staff can access remotely.
6. Content updates throughout the website to reflect the name change, including a new slideshow.

The migration work was completed within two working days. Great to work with Claude and the team once again.
