The client took his website offline a couple of years ago for personal reasons. He then contacted BY Design in December 2025, asking to relaunch it and get things going again.
We set a plan in motion to get him back online:
- New hosting account on our secure server
- Uploaded the site backup from two years ago
- Updated the WordPress core and plugins
- Updated the phone, email, and all other key details
- Reviewed the text on each page and edited accordingly
- Added new photos of recent work since he restarted
- Set up a new Google Business listing
- Reviewed the SEO across the website and edited accordingly
- Configured Google Site Kit and the LLMS file for AI search
Within one hour of the site going live, a previous customer went onto the website, filled out the contact form, asking for a full power washing job, the same work as he had done two years previously. This customer had gone directly to the website by remembering the company name, as it wasn’t even re-indexed in Google at this point.
This shows the power of direct traffic if you and your business are memorable and the work is of a high standard – people will come back for more. By having an online presence which is easy for people to find, and easy for them to get in touch, you remove the barriers to winning the work.
